Every year, Vanderbilt University hosts a three day music festival on their campus called Rites of Spring. I was excited for this since I decided to enroll here last year. Some of the most famous bands and artists have performed at Rites. Famous artists include Kid Cudi, Public Enemy, T.I., Drake, Lil Jon, The Roots, Ben Folds, Jason Mraz, Nelly, Run DMC, Third Eye Blind, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many other famous acts (sorry, went a little nuts there). This year’s major headliner was Wiz Khalifa, which fit nicely for the weekend of 4/20. Wiz started off with great energy as he performed one of his more popular tracks “When I’m Gone.” In my opinion, he seemed to lose some energy as the concert went on. However, he did perform his new single “Work Hard Play Hard” towards the end of the concert, which we featured here. Check out the live footage of “No Sleep” and “Work Hard Play Hard/Black and Yellow” below.

On a side note, Rites was awesome. I only saw two acts (Wiz Khalifa and Mutemath…the lineup was a little weaker this year than last year). I never heard anything by Mutemath before and they were actually amazing live. Check them out too!
