The amount of new good music we got in the last few weeks is overwhelming. Green Day’s new album ¡Uno! has been available to stream for a week now, Mumford & Son’s new album Babel sprung an early leak as did Lupe’s new release, F&L2, Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, Cruel Summer, saw the light of day this month, The Killers dropped their highly anticipated comeback album, Battle Born and lastly indie rock band, Grizzly Bear released their new album, Shields. What a month for music! Next up we have Kendrick Lamar’s debut as well as MGK’s in October and the official release of Muse’s new album. Keep the good music coming.
Well, today we got lucky enough to find the stream for Muse’s upcoming album, The 2nd Law a whole week before its official release date. Although the first two official singles (“Madness” & “Unsustainable“) were backed by dubstep sounding instrumentals, the album as a wh0le offers more than just a ton of wobbles. The band managed to create an album with ranging sounds. Muse took an experimental step in the right direction with anthem songs like “Survival“, heavily guitar backed tracks, pop and synth underlying tracks, and slow rock songs that really show off Bellamy’s vocals. Sure the dubstep influence is evident in certain parts, but at the heart of this album you will find that signature Muse sound that originally got you hooked. The album starts off strong with “Supremacy” and ends with an instrumental that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
With the album being named after the second law of thermodynamics, you know you are in for an interesting experience. Stream Muse’s new album ,The 2nd Law in its entirety and pre-order the album below.
Update: It seems to be that they took down the stream in the US, but for now you can still listen to the album in its entirety on iTunes here.
