Third Culture took on one of my favorites off of The Killers’ latest album, Battle Born and turned it into a melodic electro tune. Brandon Flowers’ vocals fit smoothly in this electro-house remix and Third Culture’s melodic synths add another layer to the already great track. The progressive styled mix is a must download for any EDM/Killers…

by Anthony Porcelli •
This is a guest post by Emily Sears: I was lucky enough to win tickets to see Walk The Moon at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn this past Friday. Walk The Moon is an indie rock/pop band similar to Youngblood Hawke, Neon Trees, and Atlas Genius. After the opener Pacific Air, the intimate…
The Strokes — One Way Trigger
by Raffi Khatchadourian •
The Strokes dropped a new single today entitled “One Way Trigger.” The pop synths along Julian Casablancas’s opening vocals make this track slightly unrecognizable from past Strokes’ releases. It is good to hear the band trying out a new sound. The Strokes will be releasing an album this year, so look out for more new music…

Bruneaux took to his Facebook a new remix from Unlike Pluto, a close friend of the Georgia producer Bruneaux. The sampled chorus from Mumford & Sons mixed with Unlike Pluto’s electronic instrumentals and hard hitting drops make this one a must listen for any EDM/Mumford & Sons fan. Surprisingly this remix flows really nicely. Who would…
Cold War Kids — “Miracle Mile”
by Raffi Khatchadourian •
The band that I stumbled upon in 2009 from the iTunes free download of the week is back with a new offering entitled “Miracle Mile.” The indie rock band does not disappoint on their refreshing new single.
A welcoming piano intro with backing drums open up Cold War Kids latest single. Lead singer Nathan Willet comes in soon after adding to the feel good vibe of the track with his high energy vocals. I’ll definitely have this song on repeat during the weekend. “Miracle Mile” will reside on Cold War Kids forthcoming album, Dear Miss Lonely Hearts, due out April 2nd.
