The Postal Service – “A Tattered Line of String”
by Raffi Khatchadourian •
The Postal Service let go a new single for the upcoming reissue of their debut and only album, Give Up. “A Tattered Line of String” is the bands first release in the last decade and it still remains true to the synth-pop duo’s sound. The new single is relatively fast paced and upbeat. I remember that exact…
James Blake- “Retrograde”
by Anthony Porcelli •
English electronic artist James Blake premiered a new single, “Retrograde”, on BBC Radio 1 today. Definitely a very strong release by James Blake, with his classic experimental style still clearly evident. Blake’s upcoming album Overgrown is due out April 8th. Cold War Kids — “Miracle Mile”
by Raffi Khatchadourian •
The band that I stumbled upon in 2009 from the iTunes free download of the week is back with a new offering entitled “Miracle Mile.” The indie rock band does not disappoint on their refreshing new single.
A welcoming piano intro with backing drums open up Cold War Kids latest single. Lead singer Nathan Willet comes in soon after adding to the feel good vibe of the track with his high energy vocals. I’ll definitely have this song on repeat during the weekend. “Miracle Mile” will reside on Cold War Kids forthcoming album, Dear Miss Lonely Hearts, due out April 2nd.

Indie-pop band, Carousel, released a new single today titled “Stay Away.” The uplifting beat and relaxed vocals make up for a solid listen. I spotted the song over on P&P and as a result I am about to check out the rest of their work. This track definitely made me feel good on this Thursday…

Big Boi ft. A$AP Rocky & Phantogram- “Lines”
by Anthony Porcelli •
First I heard Rocky’s opening verse and thought “This is awesome”…. and then I heard indie duo Phantogram come in on the chorus and thought “This is absolutely amazing”. Being a fan of both indie music and hip-hop makes this song one of coolest things I’ve ever heard. Big Boi’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors…
