Cold War Kids — “Miracle Mile”

The band that I stumbled upon in 2009 from the iTunes free download of the week is back with a new offering entitled “Miracle Mile.” The indie rock band does not disappoint on their refreshing new single.

A welcoming piano intro with backing drums open up Cold War Kids latest single. Lead singer Nathan Willet comes in soon after adding to the feel good vibe of the track with his high energy vocals. I’ll definitely have this song on repeat during the weekend. “Miracle Mile” will reside on Cold War Kids forthcoming album, Dear Miss Lonely Hearts, due out April 2nd.

Just Blaze & Baauer — “Higher”

#YesGoodTrap. Just Blaze linked up with Baauer to create an explosive trap record. “Higher” features a Jay-Z vocal sample that is edited and looped to enhance the fluid build up and add another dimension to the impressive production. The chord progression along the drum breakdown make up for a filthy offering from the talented producers. Blaze and Baauer are currently touring together, you can cop tickets here.

Flux Pavilion — “Blow The Roof”

Flux Pavilion has been teasing “Blow The Roof” at concerts for a while now. He finally took the new track to his Souncloud yesterday and it does not disappoint. The hard hitting anthem features high pitch synths at the drop and a vocal sample reassuring that you “Blow the roof off the place.” Check out Flux’s past release, “OneTwoThree” if you haven’t done so already and look out for his forthcoming EP, Blow The Roof.

Remix: Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean – “Clique (TNGHT Edit)”

At this point, Hip-hop radio has overplayed “Clique” so much that  most of us change the station right away when we hear it on. But remember the feeling of excitement we all had when we first heard this anthem? TNGHT brings back that feeling to us by remixing the track to the point that it feels refreshing again. Check it out below.

Mike Posner – “Ho Hey” (Remix)

Mike Posner took on The Lumineers hit, “Ho Hey” and turned it into a full on pop track. The addition of his signature voice along with the keyboard instrumental, looped vocals and synth drop at the chorus makes up for a solid offering from Posner. Stream/download the remake below.

Joey BadA$$ – “Unorthodox” (CDQ)

We may not be in the ’90s anymore, but Joey BadA$$ and DJ Premier reminisce over that time period with their new single “Unorthodox.” From the rhymes to the production, this track will bring you back. I haven’t really given Joey a chance until hearing this and I have to say I’ve been missing out. Hopefully we…

Yonas released his first leak off of The Black Canvas due out February 4th. “Temptation” is a good indicator that Yonas is ready to have another great year. [fap_track id=”15405″ layout=”list” enqueue=”no” button_enqueue=”no”]
